2009 HONDA FIT SPORT
Honda has announced that the company is recalling about 700,000 vehicles worldwide by the loss of movement of the defective valve springs. The springs can fatigue and break over time, causing the engine to stop after that. The recall affects certain 2009-2010 models fit Freed and the city, and so far the company has received a total of 72 complaints of the issue in Japan and 29 complaints from around the world.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the problem.
A total of 176,000 cars are registered in Japan, while another 156,000 will be brought to the inspection in China. A full 233,000 models are recalled by the rest of Asia and North America should see 122,000 cars return to the franchise - more than 97,000 of them are U.S..
