Mitsuoka can be a small Japanese manufacturer with distribution throughout Asia along with the Middle East. It's primarily a coachbuilder, taking production cars and replacing the bodywork using its own design. One of these may be the Himiko, a folding hardtop roadster built over a Mazda MX-5 frame and drivetrain.

Himiko is named after Queen Himiko of ancient Japan. Styling for your two-seater seems to be largely inspired by Morgan along with other classic British roadsters. Obviously, that doesn’t mean the Himiko is antiquated. It gives you exactly the same luxuries based in the Mazda MX-5 Miata, including an optional hardtop convertible mechanism. The most notable retracts in 12 seconds also, since it folds into a space involving the passenger cabin and the trunk, no get a new storage capacity with the small roadster.

In addition, it retains the Miata’s powertrain. It generates 167 hp when coupled to the six-speed manual plus a little less (158 hp) while using automatic transmission. The Miata weighs around 2,500 pounds and takes a little lower than seven seconds to travel from zero to 60 mph. After some more weight to move, we anticipate the Himiko to become tad slower. Top speed is limited to 112 mph, that is common in Japan (e.g., the Nissan GT-R is fixed to 112 mph in Japan unless GPS detects that you are on a track).

A special Classic model limited to only 20 units includes wood inlays and premium leather for the interior along with a two-tone exterior color design and chrome inserts that run the length of both sides in the car.

The Himiko Roadster comes in White Pearl, Red Metallic, and British Green Metallic and prices start around 4,580,000 yen or nearly $58,000.
